If your package is not delivered within the expected time frame quoted at checkout, please contact our customer service here and we will happily assist in tracking/status of your order. We also contract with serveral shipping carriers, and your package may be via USPS, FedEx, or DHL.

Shipping to a PO Box

Small orders of $50 or less can be shipped to a PO Box. However orders larger than $50 cannot be shipped to a PO Box and will require a physical address.

Shipping Timeframe

The shipping timeframe is an estimate of when your order will arrive to your address. Again these are estimates from our system these are not guaranteed. In rare cases if your order will be delayed, we will notify you by email.

Unexpected Delays: If your order didn't arrive with the stated delivery date, you can check with the carrier. The carrier may have more information. Please look at your shipping confirmation email to find which carrier is being used.

Signature for orders $200 and over

If your order is larger than $200 dollars then you will need to provide a signature upon delivery to confirm that your order was safely delivered. If you cannot sign for your package you can go here to see other options.

International Orders

For our international customers who reside in Canada and the United Kingdom, customs and duties will be calculated and charged at checkout. Ordering from premieryarns.com, you authorize a licensed customs broker (chosen by Premier Yarns) to act as your agent and to transact business with Revenue Canada / Revenue Great Britain to clear merchandise and account for duties and taxes. Customers who reside in other countries not in Canada or the United Kingdom additional fees may be charged upon delivery. The customer is responsible for all duties and fees. What's next?

Once your order is placed, we send information about your order by email.

Order Confirmation

The order confirmation email provides a summary of the items in your order. The order confirmation will display the delivery address and a delivery date. You can click view your order button in the order confirmation email to view your order details.

Shipment Confirmation

We will send a shipment notification email when the item leaves our warehouse. This email includes the carrier name, tracking number and delivery date. You can click the tracking number to track your package within the carriers website.

If you purchase an electornic gift card, we will send you an email notification with a url to redeem your giftcard. You are also able to print your giftcard with the print button that is underlined.

Notifications

Once your order is placed, we send information about your order by email. We send updates by email, so you can stay updated on your delivery order. Just add your email to receive these notifications at checkout. The number of emails you'll receive will vary depending on the orders you placed.

What to Expect

Once your order is shipped, we'll send you an email. This will include your order number and a link to the tracking information. We will also send you texts on the day of delivery or after your item has been delivered, depending on your selected delivery method, country and carrier. You may receive 3 - 4 emails per order.

Carrier Delivery Options

Premier Yarns chooses which carrier will deliver your shipment, and shipments more than $200 require a signature. Your Shipment Notification email will tell you whether a signature is required. Once your order has prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address.

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Premier Yarns offers an easy option for you to recieve your package.

Pick up package at carrier's local facility

After the first delivery attempt, you can request to pick up your package at our carrier's local facility. Call the number on the carrier's Delivery Notice and inform them you'd like to pick up your package in person.

To pick up your package from the carrier's local facility, you may need:

  • The Delivery Notice
  • Government ID (driver's license, passport) that matches the package name and address
  • Second ID with your name on it (credit card, social security card)

The carrier can release the package only to the person included on the shipping address.

In addition to this option, our carriers may offer additional delivery options, which may include electronic or estimated delivery time windows, learn more at FedEx Devlivery Manager, USPS Informative Delivery, and DHL Demand Delivery.

Shipping Policies

My package was stolen.

If you believe your package was stolen, please follow the guidelines below:

Keep in mind that orders may take up to 48 hours after being marked delivered to arrive. We also suggest asking family members and neighbors if they received the package on your behalf.

Report the missing package to the shipping carrier:

  • For FedEx, the process is relatively simple. You can file a lost package claim online to fill out and submit. In general, it takes between five and seven business days for FedEx to resolve a claim of this nature.
  • For USPS missing packages, you'll first need to fill out a Help Request form that will notify your local Post Office so they can help locate any missing packages. If you don’t recover your parcel within seven days, you’ll need to fill out a Missing Mail Search Request with the tracking number, evidence of insurance and proof of the item’s value. You'll also want to submit any evidence you have that the package was stolen.

File a police report: If you're planning on making an insurance claim regarding the missing delivery, a police report can be helpful documentation to have. If you live in an apartment complex and your package was stolen from the mail room, your apartment complex should have insurance for incidents like this. We recommend that you contact your leasing office for more information.
