Pleasantly surprised by this yarn. Buying online is a challenge because I could not feel it prior to buying it. This was delivered this afternoon during a snow storm.

This yarn is soft and very easy knit and crochet. I worked up a few swatches and was so impressed that here I am staying up late to get a few more rows into my 2nd project for a couple last minute Christmas gifts. Since the BOGO bag sale is still going on- I ordered more for other future projects.

The weight is a firm 3 to thicker 3, easy to pull from the ball and after 8 straight hours, my hands feel great. I am currently working color 833 Sweatshirt, a dark gray with matching dye lots. I appreciate the generous 100g skeins- well worth the price before the BOGO bag deal.

Not sure why the other reviewer stated that the yarn was scratchy. It's not superwash merino, but for superwash wool, this yarn is very soft. I made a gorgeous cardigan for my sister with this yarn & she loved it.... she is NOT a typical wool wearer.... so take that how you will.

If they have another buy 2 get 1 free deal, I would highly recommend grabbing some. The fact that it can be washed is just another great bonus with this yarn.

Great value, and stitch definition. This is a work horse of a yarn. This is 100% SW wool does not say what fiber but feels similar to Corriedale. I purchased a heathered colorway so there were a few short but which are easily removed when knitting. I had 3 knots in one skein so put out a length or keep an eye on the yarn as you work. You can also rewind it and see if there are any knots and adjust accordingly. I would definitely purchase again.

At $6 for 100-gram ball (bag deals), this yarn is a great buy although not the highest quality. It is coarse BEFORE treating with wool conditioner. There are imperfections, but no knots. I wouldn't recommend for items used directly against the skins. All in all, I'd buy again.

Bought this in pomegranate heather. They need to take “soft” out of the description for this yarn. It feels like knitting with steel wool. It is so harsh and I have no idea what garment it could possibly be suitable for. It also has what looks like thin strips of white plastic poking out throughout the yarn, completely taking away from the dark heather look. Only buy if you want your yarn to be abrasive and rough.
