Bloom is an easy-care, DK weight yarn with a range of colors from traditional to modern. This self-patterning yarn creates a floral or dot print at any gauge*; in knit or crochet. Generous yardage means fewer ends to join and less interruption of the stitch pattern, allowing you to make blankets, sweaters, toys, and accessories with ease.
If you want closer to the floral pattern look, you will need to follow the recommended gauge.
Knit vs Crochet with Bloom® - We recommend using single crochet stitches at the gauge listed above for best results when crocheting with this yarn. Keep in mind, your finished crochet fabric will look different than a finished knitted fabric would, due to the fact that crochet stitches vary greatly in width/and height and knit stitches are more consistent.

This is the second time I ordered this yarn in the blue color. I’m making a baby blanket. I start as if I’m working a granny square, however, I’m using a half double crochet stitch instead of double crochet stitch. It gives the work a tighter stitch, so I use a hook that is at least 1 size larger than what is called for. As the blanket is worked, it has a soft feel and it doesn’t have “holes” as the double crochet would give. I have made several blankets like this. I think they are warmer. The pattern works up as a row, however, when the yarn works around, sometimes the other colors will “nest” on top of the line before which gives it a unique look. I will always order this yarn to create baby and young children’s blankets. Love it!

Thoroughly exjoy this yarn. Good Substance,The yarns with full color are absolutely lovely if full color is needed.
This yarn is a joy. There is no snagging. Texture of yarn is consistent. I start yarn from outside and work in.
The finished product has gotten rave reviews for the colorful baby blankets made.
