Our Shipping Options

Economy Shipping, Standard Shipping, or Expedited Shipping. We have a detailed overview on the cost of each rate based on your order and location, which you can find here.

If your package is not delivered within the expected time frame quoted at checkout, please contact our customer service here and we will happily assist in tracking/status of your order. We also contract with serveral shipping carriers, and your package may be via USPS, FedEx, or DHL.

Shipping to a PO Box

We recommend that larger orders ($50 or more) be shipped to a physical address rather than a PO Box, for the most time-efficient delivery possible.

Shipping Timeframe

The shipping timeframe is an estimate of when your order will arrive to your address. Again, these are estimates from our system, they are not guaranteed. For the most up-to-date delivery estimate, please check the tracking information that we provided by email when your order was shipped. 

Unexpected Delays: If your order didn't arrive with the stated delivery date, please check with the carrier for further updates. Please look at your shipping confirmation email to find which carrier is being used, as well as the tracking number. The tracking status and travel history may have more information.

International Orders

For our international customers, customs and duties will be calculated and charged at checkout. By ordering from premieryarns.com, you authorize a licensed customs broker (chosen by Premier Yarns) to act as your agent and to transact business to clear merchandise and account for duties and taxes for the country the customer ships to. There are some countries we are unable to ship to, view the list here.

Non-Contiguous United States Customers

Premier Yarns reserves the right to review large orders and apply additional shipping charges if necessary. Should additional shipping be required, we will contact the email provided on the order to review costs.

Once your order is placed, we send information about your order by email.

Order Confirmation

The order confirmation email provides a summary of the items in your order. The order confirmation will display the delivery address and a delivery date. You can click view your order button in the order confirmation email to view your order details.

Shipment Confirmation

We will send a shipment notification email when the shipping label is created. This email includes the carrier's name, tracking number and delivery date. You can click the tracking number to track your package within the carrier's website.

If you purchase an electronic gift card, we will send you an email notification with a URL to redeem your gift card. You are also able to print your gift card with the print button that is underlined.

Once your order is placed, we send information about your order by email. We send updates by email, so you can stay updated on your delivery order. Just add your email to receive these notifications at checkout. The number of emails you'll receive will vary depending on the orders you placed.

What to Expect

Once your order is shipped, we'll send you an email. This will include your order number and a link to the tracking information. We will also send you emails on the day of delivery or after your item has been delivered, depending on your selected delivery method, country and carrier. You may receive 3 - 4 emails per order.

Premier Yarns chooses which carrier will deliver your shipment, and shipments more than $200 may require a signature. Your Shipment Notification email will tell you whether a signature is required. Once your order has prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address. We are not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses.

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Premier Yarns offers an easy option for you to receive your package.

Pick up package at carrier's local facility

After the first delivery attempt, you can request to pick up your package at our carrier's local facility. Call the number on the carrier's Delivery Notice and inform them you'd like to pick up your package in person.

To pick up your package from the carrier's local facility, you may need:

• Delivery notice.
• Government ID (driver's license, passport) that matches the package name and address.
• Second ID with your name on it (credit card, social security card).

The carrier can release the package only to the person included on the shipping address.

In addition to this option, our carriers may offer additional delivery options, which may include electronic or estimated delivery time windows, learn more at FedEx Delivery Manager, USPS Informative Delivery, and DHL Demand Delivery.

Delivery Location

Customers are responsible for communicating delivery instructions to their local carriers. Premier Yarns will not be responsible for accurate deliveries that were not delivered to a secure location.

My package was stolen

If you believe your package was stolen, please follow the guidelines below:

Keep in mind that orders may take up to 48 hours after being marked delivered to arrive. We also suggest asking family members and neighbors if they received the package on your behalf.

Report the missing package to the shipping carrier:

• For FedEx, the process is relatively simple. You can file a lost package claim online to fill out and submit. In general, it takes between five and seven business days for FedEx to resolve a claim of this nature.
• For USPS missing packages, you'll first need to fill out a Help Request form that will notify your local Post Office so they can help locate any missing packages. If you don’t recover your parcel within seven days, you’ll need to fill out a Missing Mail Search Request with the tracking number, evidence of insurance and proof of the item’s value. You'll also want to submit any evidence you have that the package was stolen.

File a police report: If you're planning on making an insurance claim regarding the missing delivery, a police report can be helpful documentation to have. If you live in an apartment complex and your package was stolen from the mail room, your apartment complex should have insurance for incidents like this. We recommend that you contact your leasing office for more information.

Items purchased online from Premier Yarns ship within the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Shopping Outside the U.S.

Items purchased online from Premier Yarns can be shipped outside the United States and United States Territories. We also offer customs fees ahead of time for ease of use to Canada and the United Kingdom.
