    Mosaic Crochet Afgans

I really like the way this yarn works up in my mosaic blankets I've been making . It doesn't leave a stripped look just little touchscreen of color here and there.

    Works great for lacy items

I haven't purchased this particular yarn, but have used a similar yarn where the fiber goes from thin to thick.

This type of yarn works up beautifully in a loose stitch using a large hook. With the yarn I had, a beautiful variegated in soft shades, I settled on the simple v-stitch using a 6mm hook for a wrap. The thicker parts of the yarn didn't jam me up because the larger hook kept my stitches on the loose side and because I was stitching into spaces rather than stitches, the project went lickety-split and the random spots of heavier yarn added an interesting element to the finished project. I used the same yarn for a 6" fringe along the short ends, and the composition of thick/thin yarn looked fabulous. It's one of my favorite pieces.

    Really nice yarn

This was my first time using this yarn and I was really pleased with the result, nice and soft and not very itchy. I used about 2.5 cakes on the sunrise color for the sweater.
