I received this kit in one of the surprise boxes and I was pleasantly surprised. I've worked with kits like this before that I've purchased off amazon and the quality is about the same. The yarn is abundant - you could easily make 2-3 or more avocados depending on your tension. But it's extremely splitty and not the best quality. That's what's to be expected of these kits with the milk cotton yarns though.

Definitely not a beginner kit, but the instructions are very clear and easy to understand. If you've already made amigurumi you'll be able to make this. There's not too much sewing either. The tools that come with it are standard for this sort of kit. Don't expect amazing quality, they're firmly middle of the road and serviceable. The cotton is soft and fluffy and there's more than enough.

While the kit comes with a glue stick, you will need a glue gun or other adhesive to stick on the little decals and get the avocado to stay upright on the stand. The one thing that knocked this down from a three star to a two star for me is the fact that the safety eyes don't come with backings. The instructions tell you to glue the eyes in place and I've honestly never seen that before. Didn't really care for that and don't understand why the eyes didn't come with backings when every other kit I've worked with comes with them. Just an odd choice.

The end product is very cute and if you get this for the sale price or in a surprise box, it's worth it. Or if you're really into avocados!…
