Lovely 100% Cotton Yarn
Bought colorways Fog, Scarlet, White, Gingersnap, Light Peach, Olive, Pale Teal, and Butter. Used Scarlet and Olive in projects so far. Very nice fabric and drape on 4.0mm and 3.5mm for me, a tight knitter. Gauge was 22 st x 32 rows for the Scarlet and preliminarily 25 st x 36 rows for the Olive (without an aggressive vertical stretch). I only encountered 1 factory knot when working on the Scarlet garment which I left as-is because it felt secure.
If you are familiar with how most DK 100% cotton tends to be then I would say it’s only a hair thinner than something like Paintbox DK. But if you’re used to wool or acrylic DK then you will be in for a big surprise with how thin it is. The 3rd image is Afternoon Cotton (red, DK) compared to Malabrigo Ultimate Sock (white, fingering) unstretched. The white wool blend yarn will stretch to be thinner than the red cotton, which does not really stretch. So be aware of gauge when substituting yarn with this one.
