Not sure why the other reviewer stated that the yarn was scratchy. It's not superwash merino, but for superwash wool, this yarn is very soft. I made a gorgeous cardigan for my sister with this yarn & she loved it.... she is NOT a typical wool wearer.... so take that how you will.

If they have another buy 2 get 1 free deal, I would highly recommend grabbing some. The fact that it can be washed is just another great bonus with this yarn.

At $6 for 100-gram ball (bag deals), this yarn is a great buy although not the highest quality. It is coarse BEFORE treating with wool conditioner. There are imperfections, but no knots. I wouldn't recommend for items used directly against the skins. All in all, I'd buy again.

Bought this in pomegranate heather. They need to take “soft” out of the description for this yarn. It feels like knitting with steel wool. It is so harsh and I have no idea what garment it could possibly be suitable for. It also has what looks like thin strips of white plastic poking out throughout the yarn, completely taking away from the dark heather look. Only buy if you want your yarn to be abrasive and rough.
