I chose Premier Anti-Pilling DK because of its wide array of color options, soft snuggability, perfect weight, and stitch definition. It took me 2 years to design and create this custom blanket for my dad, and it has held up going in and out of a project bag, then a project bucket, and finally, the end of the couch. The last 13 months of daily use, while placing each loving stitch, and I feel it still looks amazing. I used a 4.5 hook inline Furl metal hook, and there were no concerns with splitting and no issues FROGing - which did occur more often than I would like to admit. The stitches look amazing, and the drape is perfect.
