I usually use natural fiber yarns of a much thinner yarn #2-3 weights. I never use acrylic yarns because they are so scratchy but I saw this in the store and it was so incredibly soft, I used it right up and am going back for 2 more skeins! It's so light and bright, I am quite happy with it. I cannot speak of how it washes as I haven't gone down that road yet.
