I don't know if many knitters have been in my position--you want to knit a baby blanket for your own or a upcoming niece/nephew, but you've also done this in the past and don't finish the blanket until the child is at least out of college (okay, maybe I'm being hyperbolic). The bottom line is this is great for baby blankets (or last-minute Christmas blankets). Knits up fast, is very soft, and you won't get into arguments with yarn snobs about the dangers of acrylic melting baby blankets. Also knit-up another lap blanket for my grandpa on the way to visit him...tldr with large enough needles this yarn is a huge lifesaver that makes you look like an excellent gift-giver.
