When Malabrigo dyes their yarn, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, especially on variegated yarns.
I've seen and touched this yarn before so I already knew what I was getting, what to expect, and that I would like it. The price was too good to pass up and my daughter has been wanting a hat made in the Rasta Molino for quite some time. I made a fully ribbed knit hat with the first skein that's long enough to sport a wide brim and made a pom pom with the second.
I love this yarn. So soft and comfy to work with. I made a chemo cap for a friend with this and she said it was perfect. I've made my daughter in law several hats as well. It's my go - to yarn for quality, warmth and value.
