When Malabrigo dyes their yarn, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, especially on variegated yarns.
Malabrigo's Rios is a delightful yarn to work with. It is smooth and soft and glides off the needles almost effortlessly. I've been using it in a rather complicated cowl and even the "p3together tbl" goes easily. I will definitely buy this yarn again for future projects.
These mittens worked up beautifully in this yarn. I don’t use DK weight very often, but I’ll definitely consider this again for my next DK project. The color was rich and amazing.
I love Malabrigo yarns, they are soft and squishy, with none of the scratchiness you get from some wool yarns. And the colors are vibrant and beautiful. Also, Premier has the best price on them I've found.
You can’t go wrong with malabrigo rios. I made a pillow with this - it’s so pretty. Soft too!
This particular mix of colors has an autumn feel. The yarn itself is soft, almost silky to the touch. I am planning on making cold weather hats and scarves with it. I expect it to work up nicely. So glad I chose it.
