Premier Wool Worsted

This yarn is wonderful. It is soft and thick and inexpensive. It is my yarn of choice for charity projects that require 100% wool.

Great yarn

The Red is more of a dusky rose but otherwise the yarn is great to work with.

Working this yarn now & liking it

I have begun working this newly acquired yarn. It has a pleasant hand for being 100% wool. I am using it with US 6 needles for a fair isle scarf in the round. It is making a lovely fabric with a crisp appearance (not fuzzy or hairy - no halo). It does have the rare thick and thin length here and there - typically not spanning more than 1.5-2 stitches. I began the endeavor with the making of a matching hat first which came out too large so I felted it and lanolized it. It felted great and took the lanolin well. I have had a chance to test it out in the Seattle Snow-mageden of Feb 2018. It is really warm and is repelling water fantastically. It is not splitting as I work it, however I am thinking it will pill as it is a fairly short staple wool. The fibers I have been able to measure are running about 2 - 2.25 inches. I am almost 50% done with the scarf so I cannot report on the pilling as of yet. I purchased this on deep discount through a Premier deals sale and wish I had purchased more. I also wish I had not arrived on the sale late so I could have chosen more colors. On my second skein and no inner knots being evident yet. I do not know what the regular price was but this would be worth a regular price of $5 a skein for certain...possibly $6 depending on color offerings. Will purchase again as availability and need coincide.

First time wool user

WOW! never could afford wool until the premier sale, must say I truly love it. I thank Premier for the sale. I bought several skeins at 1.50 each skein. It's warm as everyone has mentioned. So I give it a 5 star rating.

Good deal.

I purchased the Premier Wool Worsted yarn at a very good price. I arrived on time and was great yarn. I hope they have another sale like this soon.
