    Easy to crochet

Often, I will start a crochet project, only to realize I'm better off knitting that particular yarn and rip it all out, but I'm impressed with how well this yarn takes to crochet. Merino wool gives such good drape, and this chained yarn makes it so much easier to crochet. No splitting stitches as with plied yarns, and the fabric it makes isn't stiff like working with acrylics or cottons can be. I'm not yet finished with my project, a sweater, but I can see where it might need an undershirt to keep from being scratchy. That's ok, my pattern has a lot of positive ease. The colors of this yarn are breathtaking, I only wish I could afford to buy a whole bunch of each! The stitch definition I'm getting with the Ciao Merino has kept my stitch count consistent.

    Very soft

Very soft, has a little halo. Loose chainette.

The price was excellent for such nice yarn.

I am making asymmetrical shawls. I wanted a loose stitch so size 9 needle.
