The sharpness of his hook makes it easy to get into stitches cleanly, with minimal splitting. The only drawback is that it is not perfectly smooth - however, once I started using it a bit, the minimal roughness dissipated. Maybe from oils in my skin. All in all, I am glad to have this hook in my crochet arsenal.

I really like any wooden type crochet hook or knitting needle. I have arthritis in my hands and the wooden tools make it much easier to work on my projects. They don't slip like metal or plastic products.
