One of my most favorite memories of the Christmas season is making homemade Christmas cookies with my mom and sister in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with brightly colored frosting smeared across our faces from “testing” it out. A lot of times we’d eat so much of the cookie dough we’d made that we would never have any leftover bits from rolling out the cookies. All of those memories inspired this design in my Christmas collection: my Snowflake Sugar Cookie Ornament.

I decided to dress up as Totoro for our employee Halloween party this year, of course, I needed to add in a little handmade touch to my costume.Our Faux Fur Pom Poms were the perfect answer to add in a whimsical extra touch from the film. A few minutes of crafting let me create a handful of Soot Sprites, a must have for any Totoro costume.
