Q:Tell Us About Yourself!
A: I was born and raised in Germany. My family always has been crafty and I was introduced to it and always loved it from an early age. When I picked up crocheting again after college, I was hooked right away again. After selling many finished items through Etsy, I decided to become a pattern designer which I loved so much more than creating the same product over and over again. As I always loved teaching, I felt so happy and passionate to be able to teach how to crochet a stitch or pattern. I’m excited to do it every day!
Q: What's your specialty?
A: I love to crochet and design hats, bags and functional crochet the most. But teaching crochet really feels like my specialty.
Q: Who inspired you?
A: My mom, grandma and aunt. They taught and inspired me to be crafty. I always loved drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting and sewing, or any kind of paper crafts.
Q: What is your favorite Premier Yarn? What do you love about it?
A: Anti-Pilling yarn, hands down is the best. It’s easy to work with, it comes in many different colors and it last a long time, no matter how often I wash it.
Q: What other hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I also love hiking, exercising, watching TV with my family, and blogging. I actually love teaching different subjects, including blogging and exercise routines. Another favorite hobby of mine is rearranging and redecorating a specific room. I know it seems odd, but I love seeing a room in a new look without having to spend much money or no money at all.
Q: What’s your favorite yarn project to make?
A: I love making hats and bags the most for sure.
Q: Where is your favorite place to crochet?
A: At home, with friends, or in a café
Q: Any tips for crafters?
A: Be patient with yourself. As a crafter, we are all very creative and want certain things to look a certain way. But some times that doesn’t work. That’s ok. It’s better to put it on the side for a while and come back to it from a different point of view. Also as a crocheter, I would always recommend to count your stitches. It seems to be a common mistake to assume you have the right amount of stitches and then several rows down you noticed you dropped a stitch. Better count on extra time to reduce the stress later.
